Introducing the Warmies Sleep Type Quiz!
How’d You Sleep?
We all love the feeling of falling asleep, but it doesn’t happen for everyone at the same time each night. Some of us like to crawl into bed as soon as possible, others put off “bedtime” into the wee hours of the night. We all know a morning person who seems to spring out of bed at 6 a.m. along with those who’s best ideas come to them as they pace the kitchen after midnight.
While you may assume that the differences in sleep schedules are learned, there’s a scientific reason behind our natural sleep patterns. Science Daily released a study done by neuroscientists at the University of Alberta that uncovered the difference in brain function of those who were “early risers” and those who were ‘night owls’. What’s more, there’s actually more than two types of sleepers, and they're called chronotypes!
So, which sleep type are you? The answer may surprise you! Here, we're introducing the new Warmies quiz, which blends sleep science and Warmies magic to give you the perfect bedtime buddy for your sleep type!

What Are Chronotypes?
Chronotype is a person's natural preference for when they like to sleep or when they feel most energized during the day. Chronotypes were first explored through the Munich Chronotype Questionnaire, which surveyed and collected sleep data of 25,000 people. The questionnaire went beyond just tracking circadian rhythms; it delved into social styles and personality types to understand sleep schedules. It turns out that understanding how our biological sleep clocks relate to our lifestyle allows us to adopt personalized habits that enable us to be more productive during the day.

Bear Sleep Type
If you’re a bear, you’re someone who sleeps with the sun! Generally, you have little to no issue catching a full night’s rest and waking up right on cue. You are often an extroverted, social, happy-go-lucky person with lots of friends. Bear sleep types are known to be easygoing…which isn’t surprising considering how much quality Zzzs you catch each night! However, those who are the Bear Sleep Type are also more likely to experience an afternoon slump!

Lion Sleep Type
If you are a type-A, early riser who wakes up alert feeling energized and ready to take on the day before the sun rises, you're most likely a Lion Sleep Type! You are a natural-born leader who is driven and highly productive. Lions are charismatic, practical, and optimistic, charging through tasks before lunch. However, you should be careful because your afternoon slump may knock you all the way over. Consider sneaking in a power nap to charge through any post-lunch meetings or tasks.

People in the Wolf Sleep Type are highly creative but generally reserved and slightly introverted–not dissimilar to a lone wolf. If this is you, try to look out for two windows to get work done, in the early afternoon and as the sun sets on the day.

Dolphin Sleep Type
If you do a nightly dance with insomnia, or struggle with sleep issues, you may be a Dolphin Sleep Type. On the brightside, this means you’re likely highly intelligent, thoughtful and a detail-oriented person. Similar to real-life dolphins who never fully sleep (only half their brain at a time) to stay alert for potential predators, Dolphin Sleep Types are often tired. The sleep struggle is real because you simply can’t get enough rest. This is why naps are the Dolphin Sleep Type’s friend, so catch those spurts of sleep where you can get them! Invest in a quality sleep mask and commit to a daily schedule that includes completing your most difficult tasks before lunch.

Sloths are dreamers who sleep freely and see the true purpose of life: snuggling with their buds, watching tv, eating snacks and hanging out. Sloth Sleep Types sway with the trees and let the universe direct them to their next cozy adventure.
